escaping the algorithm

About six months ago I decided that I wanted to go off the digital grid, and spend more time reading books, articles, and consuming productive content, instead of brain rot.

The first thing I did was to delete Instagram (which was the only social media app I used on a regular basis), and jumped on the Substack bandwagon instead. I figured it was a good way to get into the habit of reading regularly. My goal is to eventually start reading physical books (like I once did, years ago).

I've also been thinking a lot about cozy activities lately. Here's a few I'm interested in:

These ought to keep me off my phone, or at the very least—limit my phone usage.

I think phones have been at the center of our lives for far too long. It's become bothersome, rather than convenient. I'm exhausted from consuming. I need to break free from the small screen.

I've been craving to create. This blog might be a start.
