customization woes
I've spent the last two hours trying to upgrade this blog, and all I was able to add was the recent posts section.
I see all these great blogs that I find on the discovery page, and it makes me want to customize my blog. I want to add gadgets and the like. Yet, I haven't been able to.
I tried to add a status page and I was not successful.
I tried to add a guestbook and I was unsuccessful.
Maybe I'm too tired, or too old (I'm a geriatric millennial, as this newer generation calls us) for all this coding stuff. I spent 2 hours trying and trying and I couldn't get anything to work.
I gave up.
Maybe I'll try again another day. Maybe I won't.
Maybe I'll just be stuck using the generic templates until the end of time.
Update: March 12 2026
So it turns out that I wasn't doing anything wrong. The reason I can't customize my bear blog is because I have the free account. I have to upgrade to a paid account to be able to do that. Thank you Meadow for enlightening me on this.
I don't really want to pay for a subscription just yet. I don't know how often I'm going to be using this site/blog. For now, I'll just leave it as is.
